Given the job description for a Staffing Officer, developed a Telephone Reference Checklist and Guideline. We were to incorporate the legal parameters of PIPEDA with respect to providing and receiving references.

ASSIGNMENT: EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

Assignment Type: Individual

Skills: Writing, Research, Critical Thinking, Analytical Thinking, Microsoft Word

Using the same Staffing Officer position, I developed an employment contract letter for the successful candidate. Ensured all key components for a legally sound employment contract were included.

PROJECT: BDI GUIDELINE ANALYSIS

Project Type: Group

Skills: Writing, Research, Analytical Thinking, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, Time Management, Critical Thinking, Interviewing, Editing and Formatting, Microsoft Word

This project was separated in to three parts:
Part 1: Our group developed a Behavioural Description Interview (BDI) Questionnaire Guideline and Rating System for the Marketing Instructor position at NSCC. We began by interviewing the Dean of Business and examined the given job description. We generated a list of critical incidents to define the five overarching competencies for this position. Using these critical incidents,we created rating anchors for each competency and were then able to develop a scoring system for each (from 1-5). Using the competencies, we developed BDI questions and created a user-friendly guide to provide direction in the use of our BDI interview questions, rating scale, and overall process.

Part 2: Once our guideline and scoring system was complete, we used these tools to conduct an interview with a Marketing instructor at the college. (Pretending that they were a candidate for a position)

Part 3: Our group observed and performed an evaluation and analysis of another group within the class with respect to their BDI process and guide.
